Machu Picchu is the most famous attraction in Peru. Surely high on the bucket list for any traveler to see this rediscovered lost city in the Andes mountains. Machu Picchu is actually lower in altitude and warmer than Cusco, which makes it a great side trip or ultimate destination for your time in Peru. The quickest way to see Machu Picchu is by taking the train, no hiking required! We set up everything you need to have a comfortable, no hassle experience.

Day 1:

  •  Pickup from Hotel in Cusco at in the morning and take a private car to Ollantaytambo train station
  • Train from Ollantaytambo to Aguas Calientes (there are several times to choose from)
  • Check in to Hotel in Aguas Calientes Town
  • Briefing at 5:00 pm in your Hotel in Aguas Calientes with your Guide for the next day in Machu Picchu

Day 2:

  • 6:00am - Breakfast at Hotel
  • 7:00am - Take bus to Machu Picchu entrance
  • 7:30am - Guided tour of Machu Picchu Citadel
  • 9:00am -12:00pm - Optional hike up Mount Huaynapicchu or Machu Picchu Mountain
  • 12:00pm - Take Bus down to Aguas Calientes town
  • 12:45pm - Lunch at Indio Feliz Restaurant
  • 3:00pm - Train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo in the afternoon
  • Evening - Private car from Ollantaytambo to Cusco, drop off at hotel in the evening
  • Private car Roundtrip: Cusco – Ollantaytambo
  • Roundtrip Train Tickets: Ollantaytambo – Aguas Calientes
  • Roundtrip Bus tickets: Aguas Calientes – Machu Picchu
